Viprapathnyanugraham – Srimad Narayaneeyam / Srimad Bhagavatham !! Lyrics & Meanings

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, once you have proceeded to woodland far away from Vrindavan, along with the cattle and cowherds with an intense desire in your heart to bless a group of devoted Brahmin women.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have noticed the cowherds were exhausted due to thirst and hunger and there was no one to provide shelter in the woods.   Instantly, you have observed a group of Brahmins were performing Yagna, you have sent the cowherds to request for some boiled rice from them.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,  The cowherds requested the Brahmin for food and mentioned your name.   Oh! Prabho, Brahmins who were all well versed with the Vedas did not pay attention to the cowherds.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The cowherds returned were totally dejected and ignored by the Brahmins, it was an expected kind of action from the Brahmins who follows rituals without any devotion.  How could they offer food to you, unless they are devoted to you?

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, you have instructed the cowherds to request food from the wives of Brahmins and inform your presence in the woods.  You have told them with a smile that, these women are full of compassion and love and they would certainly provide food.  Eventually the cowherds went to request food from the wives of Brahmins.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The wives of Brahmin who had the long yearning to visualize you, hurried to you in utter amazement, carrying four types of meals, though they were intervened by their families and relatives.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The wives of Brahmin were delightfully witnessed the glorious form you, a bunch of peacock feather quaking on your hair lock; cheeks were glowing on the reflection of the ear stud, placing a hand on the shoulder of your associate and standing with a compassionate graze.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, one of the women who was hastily approached you was caught in hand by the ritualistic Brahmin; she sincerely meditated upon you and attained union with you.  What a wonder! She must be fortunate indeed!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have accepted the food from the women and blessed them, they were yearning for your perpetual presence and physical contact with you, therefore they were ready to abandon their houses were send back with their husbands with no hard feelings, in order to conduct the rituals.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The Brahmins were realized their mistake after witnessing the sincere devotion and dedication of their wives, they understood the reality and sung praising the glories of you.  Oh! Maruthpuradhisha, we earnestly pray to eradicate all our ailments and sufferings.
