Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, With the grace of you I shall be cleansed from the clutches of worldly bondages in that way I will abandon the attachments towards my relatives, I shall consider the world and all that happenings as the expression of illusion.  I shall realize the perception of diversity/Nanathvam caused due to the false conception, good and bad, dos and don’ts with the help of sincere devotion to you and surpass the Vaishamya Buddhi/conscious of differences as well.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Human birth is very rare indeed, there are countless beings absorbed in gratifying hunger and thirst, humans are enriched with the discriminative mind and they will have friends and foes.  Whose mind is absorbed in you would be engaged in alleviating sorrows of all, concerned about his friends and foe as well.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Bhooman, with the grace of you I will understand the truth that there is nothing in existence, I will learn the perfect endurance form the Mother of Earth who does not move an inch even though exploited by its inhabitants.  Oh! Esha, The nature of air which has constant contact with everything but remains unblemished, likewise soul/Athman is all pervasive and remains unscathed, sky/Gagan as a teacher I will be able to understand the same.

Oh ! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, With the grace of you I shall remain clean, sweet and pure like water, I shall remain unblemished by consuming food of all types, just like the fire consumes whatever goes into it.  The process of waxing and waning took place in the moon just like the variations in the body and the soul remains unaffected.  I shall understand the eternal knowledge of oneness, just like the reflection of sun in the water.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I may possibly not like the pigeon who gave up life due to the intense love towards its offspring which was hunted, I may eat whatever available like a python and put up with hunger when nothing is available, I may remain serene and deep like an ocean, I may not fall for the lust for females like fire moths, let me remain as the knower of the essence of life like a honey bee, unlike perish in the chase of wealth.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I shall not remain in the captivity of women, like an elephant captured by a female, I should not accumulate wealth in abundance, possibly will taken away by others like honey gatherers, I should not be fascinated to unattractive music like a deer, I should not have too much liking for food just like a fish has weakness to its bait, I should sleep like a Pingala without any concern, Oh! Vibho, Protect me, I should not get killed like Kurara bird while guarding its possession of meat.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I shall live unaffected by the sense of wittiness and disgrace like a happy child, I shall live unaccompanied like a lonely bangle in the wrist of Young maiden which does not make any noise, in this way I will keep myself away from all the worldly matters. Oh! Vibho,  we earnestly pray that our mind should be absorbed in you, like an arrow maker who is not aware of the announcement of arrival of King, I shall live in the house made by others without the sense of attachment like a snake lives in a rat hole.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I have learnt that the Universe is created by you and it was engulfed by you, like a spider. Oh! Supreme Lord, meditation upon your glorious form provides the eternal knowledge that the human body is the storehouse of all impurities, causes various types of ailments like a beetle, and ultimately teaches the lesson of eternal wisdom and sense of detachment/renunciation.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, We earnestly pray to eradicate the increased sense of attachment to one’s own body, properties, wealth and families/Kalathram/wife. Oh! Pavanapuradhisha, we have turned helpless at the end, with no sense of devotion and dedication at your lotus feet and pathetically hauled by the Panchendhriyas/eyes, ears, skin, tongue etc.. Otherwise this body will be suitable only for the fire/Vahne or dog/Shuna.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,  Oh! Pankajaksha, Its difficult to remove attachment towards the physique, we earnestly pray to provide us the state of no ailments and firm devotion at your lotus feet. Oh Maruthesha, I have attained the body of a Brahmin after several lives, which is capable to provide liberation, Oh! Supreme Lord, we earnestly pray to protect us, not to haul us into gratification of sensual pleasures/Vishayarasam.

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Chithprakasha,  I shall perform all those rituals prescribed in Veda with utmost devotion and dedication, without expecting the result of it, that would provide Naishkarmya/freedom from action.  And I dedicate all   those action, speech and thought that were performed due to inclination or impulse which was forbidden by the Veda.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Vibho, Oh! Abhishtamoorthi, I shall perform Karma Yoga and worship you with utmost devotion.  I shall visualize the Pure Sathvic form of you which is dear to me,  I envision your image of stone or clay or any kind of material and offer  flowers/Pushpam, incense/Gandham, Nivedhyam/Bhog, etc… according to my capacity and venerate you with sincere devotion on regular basis to attain your fleeting look.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I empathize at the women, Shudra/people who were born in the lower classes and the people who are deprived of listening to the glorious deeds of you, I feel sorry for the people who are born in the higher classes and although remains within the proximity of your lotus feet, performs the Yagnas as their livelihood, in that way lack peace of mind and people who are born in the higher class but arrogant, does not willing to learn or listen to your teachings.  We earnestly pray not to append us on any of the above mentioned categories.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, We earnestly pray not to append us on the people who speak maliciously and laugh at your passionate devotees, and the people who comment viciously on Lord Krishna and Lord Rama and passes wicked comment on their brother/Bhratha who are immersed in the sincere worship of Lord Vishnu.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvaurappa, In the Kritha Yuga, illustrious Sages were immersed in severe austerities and penance.  In the Thretha Yuga, the virtuous bearing the Sruk & Sruv and engaged in the Yagna and Yaga, in this way venerated you as Yajjaroopa.  In the Dwapara Yuga, the virtuous worshipped blue complexioned Supreme Lord who is adorned with mace and sword according to the Thanthric rite.  In the Kaliyuga the virtuous engaged in the worship of you by reciting glorious names.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Muraripo, Victory to Kaliyuga, in which your grace and fulfillment of all desires are possible by reciting your glorious names, without any delay or much effort.  Those who were born in the Thretha Yuga, Kritha Yuga and Dwapara Yuga certainly desired to take birth in Kali Yuga too.  Oh! Vibho, fortunately we have born in this era of Kali, we earnestly pray not to deprive of your grace due to the chase of gratification of sensual pleasures.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, In the Kaliyuga most of your passionate devotees are belongs to Dramilabhuvi/Dravida Land, hails from Kaveri, Thamraparni and Krithamala towards the sacred land of west, Oh! Lord, fortunately I have taken birth in one of those places and have too little/Kinchith devotion to you.  Oh! Vibho, we earnestly pray not to push us into delusion and do not tie with the Asha and Pasha/worldly attachments, eventually provide us with sincere devotion and dedication to you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Once King Pareekshith encountered the enemy of righteousness,  merciless Kali, instantly King Pareekshith prepared to kill him with his sword, but unscathed him after realizing the quintessence of Kali.  Whoever engaged in the sincere worship of you in this era would be benefited with devoutness instantly; in the same manner the evil effects of Kali will not affect your passionate devotees.  Kali will be afraid to get closer to your devotees; therefore Kali will make an effort to get them by illnesses, before the essence of devotion arises in them.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The prominent sages described the eight supreme deeds as Ganga/holy dip in the sacred river,  Gita/ recitation of sacred text, Gayathri/ recitation of the most sacred among the hymns,  Thulasika/ sacred plant for the veneration of Lord,  Gopika Chandhanam/ smearing sandal paste,  Salagrama/worship of Salagrama, Ekashadhi/fast on the auspicious day of ekadashi,  and Namavarnna/recitation of your glorious names, are the effortless methods of worship which provide abundance of meritorious reward and liberation in the Kali Yuga.  Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, we earnestly pray to provide devotion in these eight supreme deeds.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Bhooman, whoever   wholeheartedly surrenders to you and abandon all the evil deeds, would remain indebted to deities, Rishis and Pithrus, or even to his servants; ultimately all his sins and sufferings would be eliminated and you will reside in their hearts.  Oh! Pavanapurapathey, we earnestly pray to remove our sufferings and sins, and provide sincere devotion to you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Lord Krishna, Oh! Deva Deva Akhilathman, I believe veneration of your lotus feet and surrender to it with perpetual devotion and dedication as you have suggested would expel fear and delusion as well.   It’s the appropriate method of meditation for those who are encircled with intense material desire and in that way endure distress.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Bhooman, I dedicate all those actions, speech and thoughts of mine prompted by you for the service of supreme Lord.   Whoever offer their action, speech and thought at your lotus feet, even if he is from lower caste would be purified the world, not by an intellectual Brahmin who is indifferent to you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Esha, The fear is an aspect of projection of mind arises by lack of practice on ‘Oneness’, control of mind with intelligence does not support the conscious of oneness due to the presence of delusion.  Therefore, the trepidation can be overcome by the continuous practice of devotion.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The devotion at your lotus feet can be obtained by the constant association of virtuous and those who have prospered by their meritorious reward through righteous deeds, Oh! Deva,  I earnestly to pray to provide me the association of virtuous who are constantly engaged in the praise and sung glories of you, that would provide me sincere devotion and dedication at your lotus feet and eventually eradicates all our sins.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Among the various paths of Moksha/Shreya, devotion is the supreme path of liberation, recitation of your glories and remembrances of your various incarnations with intense devotion, which would make burst into laugh and cry, yell at times like a Unmadhi/barmy and dancing with intense passion would provide liberation.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Bhuvanapathey,  I salute the various forms of you such as birds, fish, animals, humans, friends and enemies with an balanced mind, service at your lotus feet and with the grace of you only I will attain firm devotion, dispassion and eternal wisdom  without  Yathnabedham/ discrimination.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I shall meditate upon your lotus feet constantly, so that I will not undergo the sufferings of hunger and thirst, I will engross in the unvarying meditation process with the knowledge that likes and dislikes, sense of gratification and grief are the effects of illusion.  I shall secure my mind at your lotus feet which shines like the moon and your toe - nails spreads cool rays all around.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I may not be worthy of achieving the knowledge of oneness in you, I may attain the highest of the devoutness by intense love towards you or affection to the virtuous people or kindness towards ignorant people and enemies or by creating tendency to worship your image with intense faith.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Bhuvanapathey, The illusion hides your real nature and appears as Earth, Water, Air etc.  The Jeevan/souls helplessly encircled by the chain of their actions and undergoes sufferings. Oh! Vibho, we earnestly pray not to torment us with your illusion.  The most enlightened Yogi Prabuddha: commend that the perpetual devotion at your lotus feet only would protect from delusion.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I have witnessed the endless miseries due to the unfairness,  May I be blessed with the eternal guidance of Acharya/Guru/spiritual master who enlighten me with the real nature of Supreme Lord, Your excellence and your glorious deeds, that would protect me from the illusion and provide immense bliss.  Oh! Pavanapurapathey , in order to attain the Poorva Anga/first stage of devotion, we earnestly pray to eradicate our various ailments.
