Bhagavad Sameepa Prapthi of Gopikas – Srimad Narayaneeyam / Srimad Bhagavatham !! Lyrics & Its meanings

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, As promised earlier to Gopikas, you have decided to conduct the Mara Uthsavam/celebrate the festival of Love & compassion at the end of the austerities.  One bright night of full moon, while the entire wood was saturated in the coolness, you began to play the divine flute melodiously, settling on the river bank of Yamuna.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Vibho, the reverberation of the melodious sound of the flute and the ascending and descending notes flowing through it enthralled the entire Universe.  The damsels were captivated by the divine sound of the flute were attained the supreme state of ecstasy.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The lotus eyed young maidens who were immersed in the household chore, instantly abandoned their service to their children and husband, they were extremely wrapped up in the melodious sound of your flute and came rushing to the woodland.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The young maidens while getting decked with various ornaments was caught up by the melodious noise of your flute was rushed to you, leaving the ornaments partially decorated on their body.  These damsels who were partially decorated were found more attractive to you, compared to the young maidens who were adorned themselves meticulously.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, one of the young maidens while leaving in a hurry, mistakenly has worn her necklace on the waist area and the waist band on her neck as well, Oh! Mukunda, it was like the beautiful young maiden revealing the attractiveness of her hip to you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvaurappa, one of the young maidens in a state of excitement forgot to wear upper garment to cover her bosom and appeared before you, she was completely unnoticed by the others too who were in the state of supreme bliss.  She hurried to you with an intense affection; her uncovered bosom was like a water pitcher for the coronation ceremony of you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Some of the young maidens who were not in a position to leave home was sincerely meditated upon you.  Oh! Deva, eventually they too had attained the supreme bliss of union with you, they must be very fortunate indeed! Instantly, they left their mortal bodies and merged in you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, These young maiden were considered you and approached you as their paramour, not as ‘Paramathman’, consequently they attained the state of liberation.  Whoever constantly meditates on your enthralling form would certainly attain the state of immortality at ease.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The young maidens of Vraja assembled before you had witnessed the supreme brilliance of you and the captivating smile of you with full of compassion which was like an unbound ocean. Oh! Vishwaikahrudhaya,   Oh! Pavanesha, we earnestly pray to eradicate all our ailments.
