Purushothaman arrived at Kashi, He paid humble obeisance to His Guru Sri Vishwadhikendra Swamigal and explained what had happened during his journey to Kashi.  He solemnly waited for the permission of his Guru to give up his life in river Ganga as promised to his friend Gnanasagaran.  After listening to the grief-stricken incident, Sri Vishwadhikendra Swamigal gave a lecture about Dharma Sastra and advised Purushothaman with an appropriate solution for the serious issue.   Sri Vishwadhikendra Swamigal declared his intention to appoint Purushothaman as the next pontiff of Sankara Mutt. Morover, it would be a suitable solution for the promise Purushothaman had made to his friend Gnanasagaran, after receiving ‘Sanyasa Ashrama’ it would be treated as new birth for him.  Purushothaman instantly agreed to his Acharya without any further thought.  Purushothaman wholeheartedly accepted the instructions of His Guru, He received ‘Sanayasa’ and introduced him as Sri Bhodhendra Swamigal to this world.

Sri Bodhendra Swamigal stayed with his Guru in Varanasi for some time.  During this period, he has learned all the Dharma Sastras from Him.  After receiving the instructions from his Guru, Sri Bodhendra Swamigal left to South India for spreading Nama Bakthi.   The first instruction was spreading Nama Bakthi for the welfare of mankind, the other one was His Guru desired Sri Bodhendra Swamigal to master on the subject ‘ Nama Sidhantha Grantha’.  As per the instruction of His Guru , Sri Bodhendra Swamigal arrived at Puri where Sri Lakshmidhar a great saint was lived.  He  wrote ‘Bhagavan Nama Koumudhi’ – Nama Sidhantha Grantha,  Sri Vishwadhikendra Swamigal had sincerely preferred Sri Bodhendra Swamigal should learn and master on this subject.  After arriving at the holy land of Jagannatha (Puri) Sri Bodhendra Swamigal had the Darshan of the Lord at Jagannatha Temple.  He continued to search for Sri Lakshmidhar’s house and heard the disappointing news that he had passed away several months before and his son Jagannatha Pandit was in there.  As it was dark the house was locked from inside, Sri Bodhendral did not want to overburden the host by paying untimely visit t0 his house.  He patiently waited  on the porch engaged in meditation.

Will be continued.......
Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara !!
