Maharishi Krishna
Dwaipayana Veda Vyasa was one of the incarnations of Lord Maha Vishnu. He
lived in a cave known as ‘Vyasa Gupha’ which is situated on the river banks of
Saraswathi and composed the Great Epic Mahabharatha. Vyasa Gufa
(Vyasa Cave) is located in a village called Mana, is the one and only Indian
village situated in the Indo-China border. It is 3km away from the
Badrinath Temple. It is believed that Maharishi Veda Vyasa lived in this
cave and wrote the great Epic Mahabharath at the divine command of his Guru -
Maharishi Kalpadru. Maharishi Veda Vyasa was assisted by Lord Ganesha to
transform the compositions in to written format. It is believed
that Sage Adi Sankara met Maharishi Veda Vyasa in this Gupha, to discuss about
the Bhashyam (explanatory notes) for Brahma Sutra.
On this auspicious day of
Guru Purnima, remembrances of Guru and His compassion towards the human beings
in order to save them from the ignorance and Maya (Illusion) I would like to
draw your kind attention towards the Vyasashram. Vyasashram is situated
on the river banks of Narmada, the village called Barkal located 45 km away
from Vadodara, Gujrat. Just opposite to this ashtram, there is a temple for
Shuka Brahmam, son of Maharishi Veda Vyasa was truly awakened soul by birth .
Jai Sriman Narayana !!
