Sage Brihaspathi explains to Lord Indra that, there are sins which had no consensus at all, the sinner had to go through the pains and experience the results of the same. He continued to explain the sins which had no 'prayaschitha' are:
- Killing a Brahmin (Brahma Hathya)
- Burglary
- Torturing thereby making others life miserable
- Consumption of intoxicated drinks
- illicit relationship with women
Sage Brahaspathi called it as 'Maha Pathakangal' (severe sin). He narrated the story of a Gangster. He stole the wealth from the city of 'Kanchi' and ran away to the dense forest. There, he hid the wealth safely under the ground without the knowledge of his gang members. One person amongst his gang followed him secretly and found the hidden wealth. The person who followed, took away all the hidden wealth. He brought home the wealth and handed over to his wife. She advised her husband not to keep the wealth idle at home. She also reminded him the story of Maharishi Valmiki and the result of his curse to the hunters family. Finally, the couple decided to utilise the wealth for good purposes. They spent the wealth on the renovation of temples, construction of ponds and garden, maintenance of villages and giving alms to Brahmin etc... Several years passed, the couple attained the final moments of their lives. Lord Yama, Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva sent their men to bring the couple to their own worlds. Maharishi Narada arrived on the secene, saw the arguments between the messengers of the deities and itt continued for sometime. Maharishi Narada advised the messengers of deities that, the couple spent their whole wealth for the good purpose, so they are deserved to be in the Abode of Lords.
