The beginning of a vigorous day with lot of hopes for the agriculturists in Kerala. Begins with worshipping The Mother Earth by conducting 'Boomi Pooja' elaborately in their farm field, worshipping cattle, hand tools used for farming, preparation of seedbed for cultivation and bursting crackers. Finally, serving the farm workers with a porridge specially prepared with pulses are part of it. A new beginning of the year which requires lot of hard work and patience.
