Nishkala Brahmopasanam – Srimad Narayaneeyam / Srimad Bhagavatham !! Lyrics & Its Meanings

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Krishna, my salutation to Supreme Lord who is the pedestal of the Universe and merges with in him,  he is the reason for the brilliance of the Universe and all those illuminates from him, he is beyond comparison and imagination of the deities and Sages.  How it would be possible for a common individual to know your exact nature?

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Vishno, my salutation to supreme Lord/ Adbhuthathman, Pararasapoorna/supreme bliss who personifies for the welfare of the Universe, incarnates in various forms with the illusion, Gunas, and amorphous as well.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, our salutations to the supreme Lord who is the supreme bliss, authoritatively described in several Upanishads, not    by animal or human, Devas/Suras or Asuras, Purusha or Sthri, not by Dhravyam/materials, Karma/Kriya, or Species, Saththa or Asaththa/Exist or non exist.  Your marvelous form excels with supreme bliss.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, our salutation to the supreme Lord who is unaffected by the darkness and remains in perpetual brilliance.  You reflect yourself as Maya/illusion and exhibit the creation with Ahankar/ego and various Thanmathra and Panchendhriyas.  Thus the Universe remains as Swapna Sankalpa Kalpam/absolute dream and imagination, at last the entire Universe is withdrawn to you with the power of Kalashakthi of intense darkness; just like the Tortoise withdraw its legs inside the shell.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Krishna, our salutations to Supreme Lord who is the cause of Sound of the Universe/Shabdha Brahma, Karma/actions and remains as the essence in all being, Oh! Bhagavan, Vedantha authoritatively describes you as Purusha/Parachithathma/ supreme consciousness Athman etc… Therefore, your fleeting look causes the variation in Moolaprakrithi /illusion.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Our salutations to you! The ignorance which does exist or non-exists,  it causes to reflect a rope as a snake, with the help of pure intelligence by your grace, along with the knowledge of Veda becomes an axe/Parasu to cut the woods like world of Samsara Aranya.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Krishna, our salutations to you!  Your Adhvithiya form reveals the existence of Universe, gold in the precious golden jewels, clay in earthen pot and vessels etc…Just like the darkness vanishes when one wakes up from his dream, worn out rope is visible only in the light, in this way gaining supreme wisdom would increase the knowledge about the reality.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Krishna, who is the controller of the Universe, we prostrate before you!  Lord Surya, Lord Agni, and Lord Vayu perform their functions with a fear of you, Lord Brahma and other deities perform their duties by accepting the offerings made to the fire sacrifices.  They all have risen to their present status at the time of creation would be removed later by you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Supreme Lord who covered the entire Universe under three strides /Vamana and remains unaffected in three Yugas, we venerate you with the three Yogas /Gnana Yoga, Karma Yoga & Bhakthi Yoga.  You have created the three worlds of Thriguna/Sathva, Rajass & Thamas, you have personified as Trinities/Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu & Lord Shiva who represents the most sacred hymn Thrayakshara/AUM, your glories are sung by the Veda/Rig,Yajur,Sama & Atharvana, you are the pure state of consciousness aware of Thisra: Avastha/three states such as awaken, dream and sleep by personifying in three Yugas/Kritha, Thretha & Dwaparayuga.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You are Sathyam/True, Shuddham/Pure, Vibhuddham/conscious and your marvelous form excels as Nithyamuktham/Free, Niriham/egoless, Nirdhvandham/with no antonyms, Nirvikaram/unaffected by emotions, and it holds all the morals and virtues while incarnate, its unblemished/Nirmalam and Nirmoolam/reason for the causes, with eternal glories which provides unparalleled and perpetual/Nirupama Paramanandha Sandhara Prakasham/ bliss to the liberated souls/Sages & Rishis.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Your Kalachakra/ wheel of Time which is irreversible keeps moving forward with its Dhvadhasha Aram/12 spokes and Thrishatha Shashti Parvam/36o limbs on it, like the speed of whirlwind cutting down the Time of Universe.   Oh! Vishno, we earnestly pray not to distress us with your Kalachakra.    Oh! Karunyasindho/Ocean of mercy, I have taken refuge in your lotus feet, Oh! Pavanapurapathey, we earnestly pray to protect us and eradicate all our ailments.
