Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Esha,  The Magadha King Jarasandha captured twenty thousand and eight hundred Kings and imprisoned them.  The Kings who were underwent the severe harassment in the prison was sent a messenger to you who is the refugee of powerless, earnestly prayed to kill the Magadha King.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You were eagerly waiting for an opportunity to attack the Magadha King.  In the mean time, Maharishi Narada conveyed the message of Yudhishtira’s preparation for the grand sacrifice.  Uddhava advised you that both the responsibilities are equally important and priorities go to the performance of sacrifice to conquer the enemies.  Eventually you have proceeded to Indhraprastha to attend the Rajasooya Yagna conducted by Yudhishtira.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have arrived at Indraprastha with all your wives to augment the might of the Pandavas with your fleeting look; Dharmaputhra conquered all his enemies with his brothers and attained immense wealth.  Oh! Lord who is the servant of his devotees, was instructed by Dharmaputhra to encounter Jarasandha, and his brothers Bhima and Arjuna were accompanied you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have proceeded to Girivraja, the capital of Kingdom of Jarasandha in the guise of Brahmin.  You have challenged the King of Magadha who was lacking meritorious reward, to conduct a dual fight against Bhima.  You and Arjuna were the spectators of the dual fight between Jarasandha and Bhima.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The fierce fight between Jarasandha and Bhima continued, you have gave an intimation to Bhima to rip apart the bodies of Jara’s son/Jarasandha, eventually Bhima killed Jarasandha by splitting apart his body.  The captured Kings who were devoid of desires were released instantly and blessed them with intense devotion to you.  Yet, you have advised them to rule their Kingdom wisely and righteously.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Yudhishtira performed Rajasooya Yagna and the associate Kings were happily performed their responsibilities like a servant.  Oh! Lord, you too have performed washing the feet of Brahmins and virtuous.  What to mention about the fortune of King Yudhishtira?

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, It was customary to venerate the honorable guest at the end of the Yagna, Sahadeva advised Yudhishtira to honor you as the ideal soul of the Universe, and eventually Yudhishtira reverentially venerated you which provided immense delight to deities and humans as well.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, At once the King of Chedhi/Shishupala vehemently rose from his seat and abused you as tricky fellow, violated cow herd, etc….and took his weapon to fight against you, was tackled by the Pandavas.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have sliced the head of King of Chedhi who was constantly remembering you in his last three births as Hiranyakashipu, Ravana and Shishupala, with your divine weapon discus.  As a result, he was purified and attained supreme union with you, which was not possible even for the Yogis.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The grand Rajasooya Yagna was completed successfully, the assembled Kings and Sages were exclaimed Victory to King Yudhishtira ! Victory to Krishna! .  Duryodhana who was evil minded and jealous at the prosperity of others wandered totally confused in the brilliant hall of assembly constructed by the prominent architect Maya.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, A sudden roar of laugh rose from Draupadi which was instigated Bhima, by your side ways glance. Oh! Janardhana,  It was an indication indeed and a seed sown by you to reduce the burden of Mother Earth.   Oh! Maruthpurinilaya, we earnestly pray to eradicate all our ailments.
