Sri Krishna Leela - Vathsasura & Bakasura Vadham – Srimad Narayaneeyam / Lyrics & Its meanings

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, in the beautiful woodland of Vrindavan packed with the honey bees, you have moved with the cowherds and their cattle followed by Haladhara/Balarama.  Oh! Deva Sriman, you have appeared in a mesmerizing form which is extremely pleasing to eyes by carrying a flue and cane.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have set your lotus feet which was caressed by Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi that was the source of ultimate protection on the sacred land of Vrindavan, instantly all the auspiciousness took place.  Oh! Lakshmipathey, this sacred land was flourished with trees/Tharu, creepers/Vallari, water sources/Salilam, posh land/Dharani, hills/Gothram & Kshethram etc..

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, One day, in the interiors of lush grass land, gentle breeze was blowing on the river banks of Yamuna which is close to Mount Govardana, the cattle were grazing listening to the melodious sounds of your flute.  Suddenly, you have witnessed a demon in the form of calf.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, This calf was vigorously wagging its tail while walking, turning its neck waiting for an opportunity to strike you, instantly you have caught hold of its two legs an swirl around forcefully and threw it on a huge tree, immediately the demon lost his life.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have killed the wicked demon, he fell on the tree forcefully with a loud noise and destroyed the woodland, the deities were assembled on the sky to witness the same, and they overjoyed and showered flowers upon you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The cowherds were amazed and enquired about the cluster of fresh alluring flowers falling upon you.  You have humorously answered to them that it was the demon that was thrown to death was showered the flowers that were gradually coming down.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, One day, it was extremely hot, so you and the cowherds were arrived on the river Kalindi/Yamuna, daughter of Lord Surya to quench your thirst.  There you have seen a crane moving swiftly had the appearance of Mount Kailash with its un-severed wings, which was forgotten by Lord Indra.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, while you and the cowherds were drinking water, the crane hurried to you and swallowed you, instantly it spews out like a fire ball from its mouth.  Oh! Vibho, destroyer of evils, when the crane hastily moved towards you to shred with its beak, was ripped off by holding its beak.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, instantly the demon who was in the form of crane followed his sister Poothana to the abode of Lord Yama, as if to receive his younger brother Aghasura who was all prepared to follow him.  The deities were showered flowers on you, eventually you have returned to home from the wood land of Vrindavan.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The Gopikas who were listened to the melodious sounds of your flute, rushed towards you in an extreme joy to have a glimpse of you, who is the ultimate pleasure of Nanda and Yasodha. Oh! Shourey, who dwells in the sacred shrine of Sameerana Mandhirey, we earnestly pray to eradicate all our ailments.
