Legend of churning milky ocean !! Lakshmi Swayamvaram & Amrutholpaththi – Srimad Narayaneeyam/Srimad Bhagavadam !! Lyrics & Its Meanings

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, while churning the milky ocean, primary object came into sight was molten fire like ‘Kalakoodam’/deadly venom.  The deities were eulogized the glories of Lord Shiva was drank the poison to please you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, while churning the ocean by deities and demons, there appeared the divine cow Kamadhenu/Surabhi was offered to Rishis.  Oh! Thridhaman, Ucchraisavas/Hayarathnam, Airavatham/Ayarathnam, Kalpatharu, Apsaras were offered to the deities.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Jagadeesha, There appeared Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi in her marvelous form.  Everyone was fascinated by her enthralling beauty; the whole Universe got disturbed by the desire towards her.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who was already settled in your heart was presented with precious gem studded throne by Lord Indra and the precious substance brought by others.  The Rishis were consecrated her and eulogized her glories by singing Vedic hymns.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,  The sacred waters were poured on the creeper like physique of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi was adorned by your pleasing fleeting look.  Further, she was decked in various gems studded ornaments and jewels, earrings, necklaces and grand yellow silk attire etc…

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Goddess Sri Mahalakashmi was carrying a grand wedding garland with the humming of honey bees on it, gracefully approached you, as if she was sluggish in her movements by the heaviness of her divine bosom and the pleasing sounds of her marvelous anklets.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi was aware of the fact that Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva and others are enriched with virtues, although they are not free from all failing.  Ultimately she adorned the flower garland on you, who is perfect in every sense to her.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have instantly taken Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi/ Mother of the Universe, who is passionate to you in your chest with all respect and honors.  She extended her compassionate look all around which brought abundance of auspiciousness and prosperity to the entire world.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, There was the outpouring of highly intoxicated and exciting Varuni which is the source of all the sins that was offered to demons by you, in order to celebrate the occasion.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, you have appeared in an enthralling form of rain clouds, incarnated as Dhanvanthari rose from the ocean, holding the pot of elixir of nectar in your two hands.  Oh! Maruthalayesha, we earnestly pray to remove all our ailments.
