My humble salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna,  son of Vasudeva, slayer of Kamsa and Chanoora, and the provider of immense bliss to Devaki.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna who is adorned with the flowers of Athasi, magnificent garlands and marvelous gem studded anklets and bangles.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna who has abundance of curly black hair locks, face has the resemblance of full moon and a marvelous ear jewel dangling in a most attractive way.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna who has the sweet scent of the flower Mandhara ,  who has spectacular smile on his face and four arms which carries divine weapons, and whose hair locks are beautifully decorated with the feathers of peacock.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe & Gem of Yadhava clan, Lord Krishna, whose eyes has the resemblance of full bloom lotus and who has the complexion of rich cloud.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna who is engaged in pleasing moments with Goddess Sri Rukmini, attired in glorious saffron colored robe and who has the extreme fond for the scent of Tulsi.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna who is immersed in the pleasurable moments with the Gopikas/cowherds remaining in their embrace, who has the saffron color marks all over the chest, the place where Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi resides.  My salutations to the Preceptor of the Universe, Lord Krishna who adorned in unique Srivatsam and Vanamala/ fresh alluring flowers on his chest and holds Conch and holy wheels on his hand.  Whoever worships Lord Krishna and recite or memorize the holy verses of Krishnashtakam in the early hours of dawn would be relieved from the sins of numerous of birth.
