In this verse, Thiru
Manikkavasagar describes the status of the devotees assembled to worship Lord
Athmanathar of Thirupperunthurai, consort of Goddess Sri Parvati resides in the
serene land of lush paddy fields and beautiful pond filled with lotuses. Some of His devotees are saintly and are free
from the material bondages and some of them are common people in attendance
before Him to worship. Thiru
Manikkavasagar earnestly prays to Lord to wake up and provide us salvation form
the birth and death.
