In this verse, Thiru
Manikkavasagar describes the apathy of a young maiden after listening to the
rooster’s cries, chirping of birds, divine sounds of holy instruments and the
reverberation of the divine conch. The
ladies assembled were sung praising the glories of Lord and His compassion. The ladies gathered sharply criticizes uncaring
attitude of the young maiden for remaining in the bed in the early hours of dawn
and advises her to sing praising the Supreme Lord Shiva.
