In this verse, Thiru
Manikkavasagar describes the indifference of a young maiden who always praises
the holy names of Lord Shiva after listening to the glorious forms of Lord eulogized
by the deities, she dissolves in the moment she pronounce the sacred names of
Lord, was fast asleep in her bed while the ladies assembled to worship Lord in
the early hours of dawn. The ladies gathered
were questioned her unresponsiveness to remain in the bed at the time of crack
of dawn, criticizes her callous attitude while they were chanting the glorious
names of Lord.
