Jagatpitha Brahma Mandir is one of the prominent temples dedicated to Lord Brahma located close to the Pushkar Lake, Pushkar, Rajasthan.  This is one of the oldest temples built in 14th century with white marble structure famous for its exquisite murals.

Jyeshta Pushkar Sarovar is the marvelous land was chosen as Yagna arena by Lord Brahma.  Holy dip in this pond would eradicate all the sins committed and the worshipper would attain eternal wisdom & intelligence. 

 

Goddess Sri Saraswathi resides in her five most magnificent forms such as Suprabha, Chandra, Nanda and Prachi in this temple.

 

Lord Rama, Sita & Lakshman visited the Pushkar Theertha and took holy dip in this pond, further Lord Rama performed last rites for his father King Dasaratha and offered homage to ancestors.

 

Padma Puranam describes the grandeur of Theertharaj Pushkar, worship of Lord Brahma along with his consorts Goddess Sri Gayatri & Goddess Sri Savitri/Saraswathi and holy dip in the pond brings abundances of virtues includes eternal wisdom, eradication of sins committed and provides salvation.

 

The legend has the Lord Brahma was in search of a sanctified land on earth to perform Yagna, by this means to inhabit on this sacred land forever.  Lord Brahma sprinkled water on the three lotus flowers chanting the vedic hymn were fallen on the Earth and formed three sacrosanct lands such as Jyeshta, Madhyastha and Kanishta, ultimately Jyeshta Pushkar was chosen as the land for Yagna. 

 

This temple remains open from 6.30 AM to 8.30 PM during winter season and 6.00 AM to 9.30 PM during summer season.
