Sri Govindaraja Perumal temple is
one of the Abhimana Kshetram of Lord Vishnu located in Narayana Vanam, Tirupati,
Andhra Pradesh. It was oldest temples of
Lord Vishnu consecrated by Sri Ramanujacharya according to Vaikhasana Agama in the
year 1130 AD.

The Annual Brahmostavam is
celebrated in a grand manner for nine
days, begins with Senapathi Utsavam/Angoorappanam during these days deities
will be taken out for procession in the morning and evening through the
madaveedhi in various celestial Vahanas like Peddha Sesha Vahanam, Chinna Sesha
Vahanam, Hamsa Vahanam, Simha Vahanam,
Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam, Kalpavruksha Vahanam, Sarvabhoopala Vahanam, Mohini
Avatharam/Pallakki Utsavam, Garuda Vahanam, Hanumath Vahanam/Vasnthostavam, Gaja Vahanam, Surya Prabha Vahanam, Chandra
Prabha Vahanam, Rathostavam, Ashwa Vahanam, and
concludes with Chakkra Snanam and Pallakki Utsavam. As a part of the ceremony worship of Lord
Govindara Perumal with Sri Sridevi & Boodevi Nachayars will takes place
with Sahasra Harathi, Kumba Harathi, Mangala Karpoora Neeranjanam, Rig,Yajur Sama,
AtharvaVeda/Chathurveda Avatharanam, Upanishads Avatharanam, Boopala Ragam,
Vasantha, Drbari, Madhyamavathi, Neelambari, Ragam Avatharanam, Thala Vadhya
Avatharanam, Damaruga Vadhyam Avatharanam,
Nadha Vadhyam Avatharanam, Sangeetha Avatharanm and concludes with fireworks.
This temple remains open from
6.00AM to 2.00 PM in the morning and 3.30 PM to 9.00 PM in the evenings.
