Skanda Puranam describes the grandeur of Prabhasa Theertham and Somnath Kshetra as circlet of all pilgrim places.

Lord Shiva narrates the splendor of the sacred land Prabhas Theertham to Goddess Parvathi.  This is one of the holiest pilgrim places capable to eradicate all the sins committed and provide Salvation.  Lord Shiva with gret anguish reveals the evil consequences of   Kali era as the faith and beliefs in ones own customs and religion would fade away as a result the devotion to Lord will reduces to a great extent. In this Kali Yuga visiting holy places and its devoutness would be of no importance, finding fault in ones own religious and spiritual deeds will annihilate the spiritual fervor.   There will not be any righteousness or morality exists in the life of the people.  Consequently visiting sacred lands of Lord also reduce considerably.  Though Kali era had all the adverse effects on its people, still the pilgrim places are proven prominent places to keep intact the treasured faith and beliefs in that way enforce true divine force of Creation, Preservation and Destruction are onf the vital and natural phenomenon in this Universe.  Prabhas Theertham is one of the sacred lands where Lord Shiva manifested in the form of Linga later came to known as Somnath Kshetra.

This massive land of Lord Somnath is surrounded by the prominent temples on   three sides, Lord Surya Narayana Temple on the East, Lord Madhav on the West and a magnificient temple of Goddess Bhavani on the Nort.   This holy land has several Yojanas divided into three genres as - Maheshwar, Vaishnav and Brahma.  There are temples of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Maheswara positioned here.  Whoever takes birth in this land would be blessed with Salvation.

Veda illustrates Lord Bhairav as  ' Kalagni Rudra' in Prbhasa Kshetram.

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara !!
