Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Usually Avani Avittam we spend in our family home - Nanganallur with the entire family members, sons, daughters-in-Law, daughter, grand children and relatives etc..  After finishing Samithadhanam and Gayatri Japam at our residence, we moved to our family home that is just 20 minutes drive from our apartment.   My MIL will be the commander in chief assigning us with the household tasks.   Generally I will be sticking out of the kitchen and engage myself into the reception area, decorating all the empty places with Rangoli and assisting everyone for edu + pidi (floating jobs) work.  My MIL, her second DIL and daughter were engaged in preparing delicious meal of the day, starts from breakfast Kozhakattai (Ganapathy Homam purpose)  all three types (Vella Kozhakkattai, Urud dal Kozhakkattai & Ammini Kozhakkattai) Idli, Vadai, Sambar, Chatuny, Neyyappam etc.. For afternoon meals - Puran Poli, Payasam, Sambar, Avial, Koottu, Rasam, Pacchadi etc..  I get uneasy watching them working whole day in the kitchen, so I do serving jobs and spend good time in conversation with the guests.

Evening we have decided to visit a few temples on our way back to our apartment.  My Mom and my family consists of myself, my husband and my son left in a car to Thiruvallikeni Parthasarathy Swamy Temple, Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Mariamman temple and visited Giri traders for elaborate shopping of Stotra books and pooja materials.  It was truly a fantastic experience visiting temples of rich cultural heritage.
