Lord Hayagriva is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu before the ‘Srushti’ –‘Creation’ was begun on this Universe. In order to save the Vedas from the clutches of two demons – Madhu and Kaitaba, Lord Vishnu incarnated as Hayagrivah. Lord Vishnu took the form of a strong lustrous horse faced, known as personification of Knowledge and Wisdom.
