Sri Andal, who was the daughter of Sri Periyalvar has the names Godha Piratti/Soodikudutha Nachiyar/Bhattar Piran Puthalvi and Thiruppavai Padiya Selvi.  She has composed illustrious Thiruppavai contains 30 verses and Nachiyar Thirumozhi contains 143 verses praising the glories of Lord Vishnu.





In this Pasuram/Verse, Sri Andal praises the compassion of Lord Krishna and advice the young maidens to surrender to Lord to attain the eternal bliss.  Sri Andal persistently tries to wake them up informing the arrival of first light on East, but her friend refused to believe and replies that it was not that sunrise brightened the Eastern part of the sky, it was because of the eagerness of Sri Andal, looking up in the sky eagerly waiting for the dawn added the brightness to the sky.  Sri Andal preaches the significance of collective worship of Lord Krishna who is the epitome of love and affection; she hangs around at the doorstep of each individual and insists them to join with her in the worship.  Sri Andal encourages the young maidens to sing praising the glories of Lord Krishna who is the vanquisher of demons/evils will definitely heed to our prayers and bless us.
