‘Jahyasuram Bhava Mimam Thwamathmana:
Samam Mano Dhwaswa Na Santhi Vidhwisha:
Rithejithadhathmana Uthpatha Sthitha –
Thadhhi Hyananthasya Mahath Samarhanam.”
Srimad Bhagavatham – Sapthama Skandham describes
the glory of Sri Narasimha.
Prahalada advised his father
Hiranyankashipu, ‘Oh ! My Dear Father, you please hear me, leave all the
demonic natures, control your mind and abstain from all sinful
deeds. ‘The Sinner is the person who is an enemy to himself’. After
hearing all these, Hiranyakashipu could not control his anger and continued
abusing his son.
Yasthwaya Mandha Bagyoktho Madhanyo Jagadishwara:
Kwasou Yadi Sa Sarvathra Kasmath Sthambey Na
Drushyathey
Hiranyakapshipu yelled at his son ‘Where is your
Lord Sri Hari, the controller of Universe?’
Prahalada graciously replied ‘He is
ubiquitous?’.
Hiranyakashipu asked ‘Then, Why He is not in this
pillar?’
Prahalada calmly replied ‘Yes, He is there too.’
In a sudden rage, Hiranyakashipu raised his
sword against Prahalada and jumped out of his seat. With all his powers,
he banged at the Pillar. Immediately, there was a gigantic roar
which made to believe everyone that the entire Universe has doomed. Lord
Brahma and all the deities realized the forthcoming disaster. At this
point of time, at everyone’s dismay there appeared Lord Sri Hari in a
Half-Lion and Half – Man form and it was a terrorizing sight indeed.
