Karma Mishra Bhakthi – Srimad Narayaneeyam / Srimad Bhagavatham !! Lyrics & Its meanings

Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Chithprakasha,  I shall perform all those rituals prescribed in Veda with utmost devotion and dedication, without expecting the result of it, that would provide Naishkarmya/freedom from action.  And I dedicate all   those action, speech and thought that were performed due to inclination or impulse which was forbidden by the Veda.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Vibho, Oh! Abhishtamoorthi, I shall perform Karma Yoga and worship you with utmost devotion.  I shall visualize the Pure Sathvic form of you which is dear to me,  I envision your image of stone or clay or any kind of material and offer  flowers/Pushpam, incense/Gandham, Nivedhyam/Bhog, etc… according to my capacity and venerate you with sincere devotion on regular basis to attain your fleeting look.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, I empathize at the women, Shudra/people who were born in the lower classes and the people who are deprived of listening to the glorious deeds of you, I feel sorry for the people who are born in the higher classes and although remains within the proximity of your lotus feet, performs the Yagnas as their livelihood, in that way lack peace of mind and people who are born in the higher class but arrogant, does not willing to learn or listen to your teachings.  We earnestly pray not to append us on any of the above mentioned categories.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, We earnestly pray not to append us on the people who speak maliciously and laugh at your passionate devotees, and the people who comment viciously on Lord Krishna and Lord Rama and passes wicked comment on their brother/Bhratha who are immersed in the sincere worship of Lord Vishnu.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvaurappa, In the Kritha Yuga, illustrious Sages were immersed in severe austerities and penance.  In the Thretha Yuga, the virtuous bearing the Sruk & Sruv and engaged in the Yagna and Yaga, in this way venerated you as Yajjaroopa.  In the Dwapara Yuga, the virtuous worshipped blue complexioned Supreme Lord who is adorned with mace and sword according to the Thanthric rite.  In the Kaliyuga the virtuous engaged in the worship of you by reciting glorious names.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Muraripo, Victory to Kaliyuga, in which your grace and fulfillment of all desires are possible by reciting your glorious names, without any delay or much effort.  Those who were born in the Thretha Yuga, Kritha Yuga and Dwapara Yuga certainly desired to take birth in Kali Yuga too.  Oh! Vibho, fortunately we have born in this era of Kali, we earnestly pray not to deprive of your grace due to the chase of gratification of sensual pleasures.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, In the Kaliyuga most of your passionate devotees are belongs to Dramilabhuvi/Dravida Land, hails from Kaveri, Thamraparni and Krithamala towards the sacred land of west, Oh! Lord, fortunately I have taken birth in one of those places and have too little/Kinchith devotion to you.  Oh! Vibho, we earnestly pray not to push us into delusion and do not tie with the Asha and Pasha/worldly attachments, eventually provide us with sincere devotion and dedication to you.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Once King Pareekshith encountered the enemy of righteousness,  merciless Kali, instantly King Pareekshith prepared to kill him with his sword, but unscathed him after realizing the quintessence of Kali.  Whoever engaged in the sincere worship of you in this era would be benefited with devoutness instantly; in the same manner the evil effects of Kali will not affect your passionate devotees.  Kali will be afraid to get closer to your devotees; therefore Kali will make an effort to get them by illnesses, before the essence of devotion arises in them.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, The prominent sages described the eight supreme deeds as Ganga/holy dip in the sacred river,  Gita/ recitation of sacred text, Gayathri/ recitation of the most sacred among the hymns,  Thulasika/ sacred plant for the veneration of Lord,  Gopika Chandhanam/ smearing sandal paste,  Salagrama/worship of Salagrama, Ekashadhi/fast on the auspicious day of ekadashi,  and Namavarnna/recitation of your glorious names, are the effortless methods of worship which provide abundance of meritorious reward and liberation in the Kali Yuga.  Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, we earnestly pray to provide devotion in these eight supreme deeds.

Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Bhooman, whoever   wholeheartedly surrenders to you and abandon all the evil deeds, would remain indebted to deities, Rishis and Pithrus, or even to his servants; ultimately all his sins and sufferings would be eliminated and you will reside in their hearts.  Oh! Pavanapurapathey, we earnestly pray to remove our sufferings and sins, and provide sincere devotion to you.
