Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
Oh! Lord of perpetual bliss, finally the time has arrived for the incarnation
of you, thick dark clouds spread across the sky along with heavy downpour was
shimmering in the brilliant blue rays emanated from your body.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
the downpour has cooled the entire land and the virtuous people were Jubilant
at the fulfillment of their desires, it was midnight Lord Krishna, remover of
sorrows and grief appeared on Earth.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
You have appeared in the birth chamber as a stunning child in your majestic form,
adorned in various precious jewels all over the body, surrounded by hue of blue
rays and holding conch, discus, lotus and mace on your hand.
Oh! Lord Vasudeva, You have appeared
in the prison, spreading brilliance all over with Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who
was comfortably settled on your chest.
Her diverse fleeting look with shyness all over the prison dispersed the
evil effects caused by wicked Kamsa.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
your glorious form which was unattainable even for the ascetics was revealed to
Vasudeva. He was in a state of bliss and
tears over flown mellifluously sang praising the glories of you; indeed the
majestic form of you was just like the nectar to honey bees.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
You were eulogized by Vasudeva with utmost faith and devotion, he earnestly prayed
“Oh! Parapurusha, remove the creepers of my grief and sorrows with your sword
like eyes. Oh! Devapraseetha, remove all my sufferings with your fleeting look
filled with compassion.”
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
your mother Devaki eulogized your glories by pronouncing sacred hymns with
tears over flown, that made her fragile body packed with tears. Oh! Supreme
Lord, Ocean of mercy, you have explained them about their two previous
births. Eventually, at the request of
your Mother Devaki you have assumed the form of an infant.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
it was your will to replace the daughter of Nanda, therefore Vasudeva, son of
Shoorasena took you in his arms. Oh!
Supreme Lord Vishnu who can be conceivable only in the minds of supreme
ascetics, you were looked like an attractive young swan in a lotus in the arms
of Vasudeva.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
at your will Yogamaya was born in the house of Nandagopa made the people of
that entire region sleep in deep slumber.
Surprisingly, the heavy protected and locked doors of the prison were
opened without human intervention.
Oh! Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa,
truly blessed Vasudeva set out closely holding you in his arms. Adishesha, the King of Serpents, stretched his
numerous hoods to protect you from the downpour, gems from the hood of
Adishesha thrown light all through their way.
Oh! Supreme Lord Vasudeva, I earnestly pray to protect us from chronic
ailments.
