In this verse, Thiru
Manikkavasagar emphasizes the significance of worship of lotus feet of Lord
Annamaliyar of Thiruvannamalai and solemnly prays to Lord Annamalaiyar who has
no beginning or end to shower His blessings on us. The
holiest feet of Lord Annamalaiyar this provides life to all creatures and
abundance of joy, ultimate place where all the living being rests, glorious
feet which was not recognized by Lord Vishnu & Lord Brahma. Thiru Manikkavasagar instructs the young
maidens assembled in the early hours of dawn to have holy dip in the beautiful
pond filled with lotuses in the auspicious month of Markazhi and sing praising
the glories of Lord.
