 Sri Siddheshwar Mandir/Jagruth Kshetram is one of the eight holy Abodes of Lord Ganesha located on the river banks of Bhima, in Siddhatek, Ahemadnagar District, Maharashtra.   In this temple Lord Ganesha worshipped in the form of a self-manifested idol.  The original temple built by Lord Vishnu for the worship was ruined due to transient of time.  Later, it was reconstructed by Maharani Ahalya Bhai Holkar, Queen of Indore and Sardar Haripant Phadke

The legend has that Lord Brahma has emerged from the navel of Lord Vishnu and started creation based on the quintessential of Veda with the blessings of Lord Ganesha.  The demon Madhu and Kaitabha originated from Lord Vishnu’s ear started harassing the three worlds, created impediments to the functioning of Lord Brahma and it caused a huge mayhem in the Universe; Lord Vishnu awakened from Yoganidra/cosmic sleep to vanquish the demons.  The fierce battle with the demons were continued for several years, Lord Vishnu approached Lord Shiva and enquired the reason for prolonging the same.  Lord Shiva brought into notice that Lord Vishnu had forgot to pay initial obeisance to Lord Ganesha, the prime deity without the veneration of Lord Ganesha the annihilation of demons would be impossible.  Lord Vishnu arrived on this sacred land and underwent penance worshipping Lord Ganesha and attained Ashtama Siddhis, eventually vanquished the demons and restored peace.
 
 
Worship of Lord Siddheshwar with his consorts Goddess Siddhi and Buddhi providence abundance of pieties includes Ashtama Sidhhis and accomplishment of desires.
 
This temple remains open from morning 4.30 AM to 9.15 PM in the evenings; during the time of festivals it remains open till 12.00PM midnight.
