 Deva Prayag/ Pancha  Prayag is one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu located at the confluence of  river Alakananda and Bhagirathi   in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.  This is one of the oldest temples of Lord Vishnu consecrated by Sri Adi Sankara.
 
Presiding deity – Thiru Neelamegha Perumal/Purushothaman/Raghunathji with his consort Goddess Sri Pundareekavalli Thayar
 
Theertham – Mangala Theertham
 
Vimanam – Mangala Vimanam
 
Prathyaksham to – Sage Baradwaja
 
Mangalasasanam – Periyalwar

Sannidhis – Lord Badrinath, Kala Bhairava,  Lord Mahadev, Hanuman, Goddess Sri Annapoorneswari Lord Rama with Goddess Sita &Lakshman
 
Worshipped by – Lord Brahma, Lord Rama, King Dasaratha, Adi Sankara, Pandavas,
 
Lord Rama performed an Yagna after the successful completion of the battle against the demon King Ravana.
 
Pandavas took holy dip in Deva Prayag and worshipped Lord Raghunathji to get rid of the sin committed while the great war of Kurukshetra took place.

The legend has that King Swethakethu was a righteous ruler and the people of his Kingdom were lived a happy and prosperous life.  After his death his soul possessed with an insatiable hunger.  Although he was a righteous ruler, during his lifetime he was not performed any kind of charity to the hungry and needy people.  King Swethakethu approached Sage Agastya as per the advice of Lord Brahma.  Sage Agastya instructed the King to contribute all the merits he had attained during his life time into a golden ring which could be utilized for the performance of Annadhanam on this sacred land.  In this way, King Swethakethu’s soul attained peace.  Performing Annadhanam or any kind of charity on this sacred land would yield commendable devoutness.
 
This temple remains open from 6.00AM to 12.00PM in the morning and 5.00PM to 9.00PM in the evenings.  The visiting hours may change during the time of winter.
