Jai Sriman Narayana !!
Kukke Subramanya Temple is
situated in Kukke a beautiful village on the foot Hill of Kumara Mountains. Lord Subramanya is the deity worshipped in the
form of a Cobra (Serpent). In the Sanctum Sanctorum of the temple, Subramanya
can be seen seated on a peacock. There are images of Vasuki and Adi Sesha. The
legend has that Garuda – The King of birds and Nithyasuri of Bagawan Maha
Vishnu was once chased by the serpent Vasuki, the king of snakes. Vasuki took
shelter under Subramanya who protected from Garuda. Worship of Lord Subramanya in this temple
eradicates Sarpa Dosha of the devotees.
Kukke Subramanya Temple offers
excellent accommodation including A/C guest houses. Visit to Dharmasthala makes
easier from this place.
