Pushkarani – Nithya Pushkarani, Kama Koshtam

Vimanam – Vamana Vimanam

The legend has that Goddess Kamakshi and Sri Mahalakshmi had a conversation while bathing in Kama Koshta Theertham.  Lord Vishnu hid behind the pillar and overheard their conversation.  Goddess Kamakshi realized the presence of Lord Vishnu observing them closely; therefore Lord Vishnu known as ‘Thiru Kalvan’ and the place has got its name ‘Thirukalvanoor’.   In this temple Lord Vishnu can be seen in standing, sitting and reclining postures in the northern side of the temple tank.
