Sri Someshwara Temple is one of the oldes temples built during 12th and 13th centuries by the Kings of Chola Dynasty and it is situated in Halasuru (Ulsoor), Bangalore. Halasuru is formerly known as Ulsoor, one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Bangalore, State of Karnataka.  This temple has the most remarkable architectural styles of Hoysala and Vijayanagara. This temple revelas the stunning architectural brilliance of that era, the striking pillars inside the temple produces the sounds of music when tapped. The majestically stands Rajagopuram, Dwajasthambam and the ancient scriptures inscribed on the wall are some of the stunning features of this temple.  During 16th century the temple has been rebuilt, an addition of compound wall and majestic Rajagopuram was rebuilt by the chieftain Kempe Gowda.
