Jai Sriman Narayana !!

Jai Shri Krishna !!

Lord Krishna symbolizes the month Marghashirsha, also known as Magsar, Agahan and Agrahayan.  The whole month is propitious to worship Lord Krishna.  In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna in his nectar like speeches to Arjuna, reveals His immortality in plain words ‘mAsAnAm mArghashIrshOsmi’.  Sri Andal – Soodikodutha Sudarkodi sung priaising Lord in her sacred verses ‘Thiruppavai’, in this Sri Andal reveals her sense of longing in a  perpetual anticipation of divine union with the Lord.

Marghashirsha Pournami is the day to worship Lord Satyanarayana.  As a part of the austerities, early morning bath in the holy river, fasting to enhance a harmonious relationship between body and soul, abstaining from sensual pleasures, worship of Lord, giving alms and charity brings abundance of pieties.

Chandra Grahan – Total lunar eclipse commence from 7:36 PM to 8:37 PM (India time). Worship of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva during the periods of eclipse brings loads of devoutness.

Jai Shri Krishna !!
