Aswayuja Bahula Trayodashi/Dhanteras is the day to worship Lord Kubera – God of Wealth – King of Yaksha – Son of Sage Vishrava.  Worship of Lord Kubera begins with the prayer to Lord Vigneshwara.  Worship of Lord Kubera with Ghee Lamp and offerings are made in the form of Jaggery, Honey, dry fruits etc. are part of austerities.  Sri Mahalakshmi Puja also carries out on this day.  It is believed that worship of Lord Kubera and Sri Mahalakshmi brings prosperity and happiness.
