Sri Bodhendra Swamigal arrived at the sacred river bank of Cauvery. There he found some children were engrossed in sands play. They were playing hide and seek with the sands, covered half of their legs deep into the sand. Sri Bodhendra Swamigal moved towards the kids and inquisitively enquired them to allow him to be a part in their game. It added the enthusiasm children. As an initial step of the game, Sri Bodhendra Swamigal passionately asked the children to dig a place on the sands ground which could accommodate him. He promised the children that he would be back again once the game is over. The children followed the instructions of Sri Bodhendra Swamigal eagerly. Once the process of digging the pit was over, Sri Bodhendra Swamigal occupied the pit giving further instruction to the children that he would be back in no time. He instructed the children to cover the pit with full of sands. The children sincerely followed the instructions without taking it seriously into heart; after all it was a part of the game for Sri Bodhendra Swamigal.
On the next day, the entire villagers and Mutt started searching for Sri Bodhendra Swamigal who was found missing from yesterday. They arrived on the banks of river Cauvery and realized from the children that he was buried under the ground alive. It was alarming news for the villagers; they anxiously continued the search for Sri Bodhendra Swamigal. While the search was going on, they heard an unseen voice advised to put an end to their search and declared that Sri Bodhendra Swamigal attained ‘Samadhi’.
After attaining 100 years of Sri Bodhendra Swamigal’s Samadhi, the search for his Samadhisthal continued to build a Samdhisthal for Him While the meticulous search was carried out by Sri Maruthanallur Sadguru Swamigal who treated Sri Bodhendra Swamigal as his Manasika Guru found the Samdhisthal in Govindapuram, there he could listen the continuous chanting of Rama Nama. Sri Maruthanallur Sadguru Swamigal initiated the divine work of constructing the Adisthana Mandapam for His Manasika Guru with the help of the King who was ruling Tanjore. .
