Brahma Kandam describes the Significance of Rama Theertham and Rameshwara Kshetram.  The holy dip in the theerthas situated here washes away ones’ sins and heinous act like brahma hathya.  The Brahma hathya sin involves   criticizing Sages or Rishis,  consuming food before offering to Lord, damaging public properties by this means makes others life miserable,  accepting food from a outcaste person and selling food grains to outcaste  are equivalent to  taking away the life of a Brahmin.

They don't leave any chance to grab the wealth of others by their wickedness.   The women folks do not follow their 'Patni Dharmam'. The cows give lesser milk and trees bear lesser fruits.  Brahmins underestimate the pilgrim places by their conduct and engaging themselves in excessive eating and drinking and no one follow the Varnashrama Dharma.

The significance of Chathurmasya Vratham - Lord Brahma explains to Maharishi Narada about the importance of Chathurmasya the four months ' Lord Vishnu' goes under  'Yoga Nidra' in milky ocean.  All the oceans, rivers and ponds attains divinity due to this Chathurmasya. Visiting holy places and dip in the Holy Rivers adds infinite virtues in one's life.   The performance of homage to departed souls with strict austerities and not indulging in any sensual pleasures during these periods provides abundance of merit.
