Kooduthurai /Thirunana Sri Sangameshwarar Temple is one of the prominent temples of Lord Shiva located at the confluence of river Cauvery, Bhavani and Amritha Theertham/Akasha Ganga in  Bhavani, Erode, Tamil Nadu. 
 
Presiding deity – Lord Sangameshwara with his consort Goddess Sri Vedanayaki/Bhavani/ Sangameshwari
 
Mangalasasanam – Thiru Gnana Sambandhar
 
Sthalavruksham – Ilandhai/Jujuba
 
Theertham – Cauvery Theertham, Bhavani and Amrutha Theertham

Significance – This sacred shrine is known as one of the Parihara Kshethra where the homage to ancestors are performed
 
There is a separate shrine for Lord Adikeshava Perumal with his consort Goddess Sri Soundaravalli Thayar and a shrine for Lord Narasimha is situated within the precinct of this temple.
 
Sage Vishwamithra underwent severe austerities and worshipped Lord Shiva, consecrated a Linga known as Gayatri Linga.

The legend has that Lord Kubera was blissfully moving across on his grand celestial vehicle Pushpaka Vimanam was happened to witness this serene land on Earth where Lion, Elephant, deer, cow,  tiger, snake and rat were quenching their thirst on the pond situated here.  Lord Kubera was fascinated by the tranquility of this sacred place and underwent severe austerities worshipping on Lord Shiva.  Lord was pleased at the devotion of Lord Kubera and appeared before him in the form a self-manifested Linga.
 
This temple remains open from 5.30 AM to1.00 PM in the morning and 4.00 PM to 9.00 PM in the evenings.

Vilvaranyam Sri Shivayoginathar Temple is one of the 275 Thevara Shivasthalam of Lord Shiva located in Thiruvisanallur, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.  It’s one of the prominent temples of Lord Shiva dating back to Chola regime, temple inscriptions reveals the contribution made by the King Paranthaka Chola I, Rajaraja Chola I and Rajendra Chola II.  In this temple Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of a self-manifested Linga.
 
Presiding deity - Lord Yoganandeshwarar/Shivayoginathar/Vilvaranyeshwarar/Puradhaneshwarar with his consort Goddess Sri Shanthanayaki Amman/Soundaryanayaki.

Worship of Chathurkalabhairava such as Gnana Bhairava, Swarna Akarshana Bhairava, Unmaththa Bhairava and Yoga Bhairava represents the four phases of life/four Ashrama Dharmas in human life famously known as Brahmacharya, Gruhasthashram, Vanaprastham and Sanyashram.   Worship of Gnana Bhairava during the phase of Brahmacharya provides eternal wisdom and knowledge.  Worship of Swarna Akarshana Bhairava during the period of Gruhasthashrama bestows material well-being.  Worship of Unmaththa Bhairava during the phase of Vanaprasthashrama bestows good health and veneration of Yoga Bhairava during the period of Sanyasashrama provides salvation at the lotus feet of Supreme Lord.

Lord Shiva and Goddess Sri Parvati were having pleasing hours playing dice game in Mount Kailash, at the end of the each game Lord Shiva won over Goddess Sri Parvati, it annoyed her.  Lord Shiva got angry and cursed Goddess Sri Parvati to become cow and go down to Earth.  Goddess Sri Parvati took the form of divine cow Kamadhenu, underwent severe penance worshipping on Lord Shiva in this sacred land.  Ultimately she was relieved from the curse and reunited with the Lord.   Thus Lord Shiva is known as Go Mukthiswarar in this temple.
 
The legend has that Thiru Gnana Sambandhar visited this sacred shrine with his father Shivapadha Hrudhayar, he was heartily desired to conduct a Yagna at Shirkazhi, but he has no source of income to provide the requirements for the Yagna.  Shivapadha Hrudhyar revealed his intense desire to conduct the Yagna to his son.    Sambandhar earnestly prayed to Lord Masillamaniswarar and sung praising his glories.  Lord was pleased at the devotion of Sambandhar and delivered gold coins required to conduct the Yagna through his Ganas,.  Eventually, Shivapadha Hrudhayar conducted grand Yagna at Shirkazhi utilizing this gold coins.

Thiruppungur is one of the 275 Thevaram Shivasthalam of Lord Shiva located in Thiruvazhuvur,  Nagapattinam District, Tamil Nadu.  In this temple Lord Shiva worshipped in the form of a self-manifested Linga.

This is one of the sacred temples of Lord Shiva where Sage Agastya witnessed the celestial marriage of Lord Shiva.
 
Panchalingam worshipped by Goddess Sri Parvati
 
Thirunalaipovar/Nandanar visited this temple and found Lord Nandikeshwara was completely obstructed the view of the deity, Nandanar earnestly prayed to Lord.  Lord Shiva instructed Nandikeshwara to move away, consequently provided a clear view of Lord to Nandanar.
 
Life of Thirnalai Povar/Nandanar:
 Lord Ganesha assisted Nandanar to create pond in this temple.

Lord Shiva was pleased at the devotion of His zealous devotee, a young woman who was married to a Vaishnavaite.  She furtively worshipped Lord Shiva without the knowledge of her family members as they were passionate devotees of Lord Vishnu.  Her husband was unhappy about her devotion to Lord Shiva and slashed the statue with an axe, instantly blood started oozing from the stone and Lord Shiva appeared before them to prove His existence.  With her wholehearted devotion to Lord Shiva, both the woman and her husband got salvation.

Thirukkaruvur Thirvanilai/Karur is one of the 275 Thevara Shivasthalam of Lord Shiva located in Karur, Tamil Nadu.  This is one of the prominent temples of Lord Shiva built by Emperor Muchukundha.  In this temple Lord Shiva worshipped in the form a self-manifested Linga which represents Lord Brahma on the bottom, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva on the middle and upper part respectively.
 
Presiding deity  - Sri Satgunanathar/ Kalyana Pasupathinathar/Anilayappar /Pasupatheeswarar with his consort Goddess Sri Sarvanga Nayaki/Sundaravalli/Alangaranayaki.  In this temple Goddess Sri Sundaravalli is worshipped as the personification of Kriya Shakthi and Goddess Sri Alangaravalli as Gnana Shakthi.
