is a separate shrine for Lord Adikeshava Perumal with his consort Goddess Sri Soundaravalli Thayar and a shrine for Lord Narasimha is situated within the
precinct of this temple.
Sage
Vishwamithra underwent severe austerities and worshipped Lord Shiva, consecrated
a Linga known as Gayatri Linga.

The
legend has that Lord Kubera was blissfully moving across on his grand celestial
vehicle Pushpaka Vimanam was happened to witness this serene land on Earth where
Lion, Elephant, deer, cow, tiger, snake
and rat were quenching their thirst on the pond situated here. Lord Kubera was fascinated by the tranquility
of this sacred place and underwent severe austerities worshipping on Lord
Shiva. Lord was pleased at the devotion
of Lord Kubera and appeared before him in the form a self-manifested Linga.
This
temple remains open from 5.30 AM to1.00 PM in the morning and 4.00 PM to 9.00
PM in the evenings.
