The Gopi who came forward , took all her energies to push the crowd apart and hurried to Yasoda Mai. 


She said: 'Yasodha Mai, please listen to me what I have to say about your son.  Just leave the previous complaint about him.  What I have brought to listen to you is far serious than the other one.'

Androu nal engal mania vantha

iru virithinar aayarthu paduthurangumpothiniley

thirudi thindrathu poka kaiyil iruntha vennai

viruthinar vayil thadavi sedranadi…adi thaye.

(I had some guests on that day. They were  rare guests,   had  their lunch and went to relax for sometime.   It was afternoon and they fell asleep.  This boy of yours entered my house secretly and  stole  butter.  After he had eaten, he brushed up the remaining butter on the face of the guests and went away.)

Yasodha called her son and asked : 'Krishna...come here.  Is that true??'

Illai illai illai amma....

ithani peyar solluvathu athanayum poyye

illai illai amma....

viruthinar vayil poosa vennai kanuma?

illai vennai poosukindra varai thoonga venama?

(How can I get butter from her house?.  In fact there was no butter in her house.  Even If I had applied on their faces of her guests, how could they sleep like that till I brush them up?)

 Yasodha believed her son and asked the gopi to leave her house immediately.

Another gopi managed some courage and came forward with her complaints:

Athai veetu vazhi kettan sonnen sonnen

athangarai vazhi kettan athuvum sonnen…

piraku vithakamai ondru kettu sathamittandi

oru muthathukku  vazhi  enna endru kettandi

(Yasodha, please listen to me what your son had did to me.  He came to me asking for the way to reach his father's sister's home.  I showed him the way.   He asked me the way   to go to the pond.  I sincerely replied.  Later he came to me asking for a 'Kiss'.)

Yasodha called her son ' Krishna...come here...what she said...is it true?

Krishna said:

Illai illai illai amma....

ithani peyar solluvathu athanayum poyye

illai illai amma....

athai veetu vazhi ketten meye meye

piraku athangarai vazhi ketten  …athuvum meyye

nila muthathukku vazhi ketten athuthan meyye

vayil muthathukku endra ival sithathukku vazhiyillai

(No...Mamma...No....what you have heard is a lie.....No...Mamma.  Two things are true : 1)  I asked the way to go to father's sister's home.  2) I also asked for the way to reach the pond.  After that, I asked for the way to reach to the moon.  She is lying!.)

The next day, all the gopis gathered around  Little Krishna and  started questioning him  for what he had done to them the previous day.  They pulled Krishna and threatened him.  The little Krishna acted like he was scared and  explained to them.  Krishna pleaded them to listen to him:

'Gopis what I told  my mother was absolutely right and you please listen to me.  I did not say anything against you.  Please believe me and make me one among your group to play.'

 'illai illai amma Ithanai peyar solluvathum athanayum poye illai illai amma. '

(no Mamma...No...what they are saying is a lie....No Mamma')

Little Krishna had a wonderful time with his friends – The Gopis.  They danced around  bubbly black little Krishna and enjoyed  playing swing, hide and seek, throwing water on each other etc.  Later all the Gopis came in line  to complain about Him to  Yasoda Mai   .  Who knows what the mischievous boy had done to them?

The Gopi who came first in line addressed:

Thaye Yasodha unthan ayar kulathuthitha

mayan gopalakrishna seyyum jalathai keladi thaye

Thayyalai keladi unthan payan ey polavey intha

vaiyyakathil oru pillai ammamma nan kandathillai

(Alas ! Listen Yasodha Mai,  Your son and the precious child of  ' Yadhava'  family is so tricky and mischievious.  I have not seen such a boy like this in the Universe.)

Yasodha Mai who was sitting in the courtyard with Little Krishna.  There  came a Gopi  and started pouring harsh words to Yasodha Mai .  After hearing unworthy remarks about her son, Yasodha Mai in rage asked the Gopi:

‘ What did my son do?’

The Gopi requested Yasodha Mai tolisten to  what had happened to her :  

  

Kalinin chilambu konja kaivalai kulunga

muthu malaikal asya theru vasalil vanthan

avan kalasaivum kai asaivum thalamodu isaithuvara

neelavanna kannan angey narthanamadi nindran

balanedru thavi anaithen…ivanai balanendru thavi anaithen

anaitha ennai malayittavan pol muthamittandi 

Balanalladi unmakan jalama seivathellam

nalupeyarkal kelkka solla nanmakuthey

intha nalu peyakar kelka solla nanamakuthey…thaye yasodha

(He was wearing beautiful anklets and precious bangles which made noises continously when he came into the streets.  This little child of yours  started dancing attractively and I carried him in my hands thinking of him as a baby.  Alas ! Suddenly he kissed my cheeks like the way a husband does to his wife.  I am sure this son of yours is not behaving like a child at all, he is  so mysterious.)

Yasodha called her son 'Krishna come here.' pulling his ears ' Did you listen to what she was saying?.  Did you do anything  like that? '  Little krishna with his big face: ‘ Mama don’t believe her she never says the truth’

Little Krishna explains:

ithani peyar solluvathu athanayum poyye

illai illai amma....

Nalu peyakar kelkka solla nanamakuthendru sonna ival

nalpathu peyar madhiyiley sollalamo??

( Mamma, No ...No....All are lying....No..Mamma...She said something which is  absolutely shameful to listen for four people.  How could she say such a shameful thing in front of forty people?)

Yasodha regained her consciousness and started shouting  at the gopis.  The gopi backed and another one came forward to tell her complaint about Little Krishna....
