Thirunana is one of the 275 Thevara Shivasthalam of Lord Shiva
located in Bavani, Erode District, Tamil Nadu.
This is one of the oldest temples of Lord Shiva situated on the
convergence of rivers Bavani and
Cauvery. In this temple Lord Shiva
worshipped in the form of a self-manifested Linga.
Presiding deity – Sri Sangameswarar with his consort Goddess Sri
Vedanayaki/Vedambikai
Mangalasasanam – Thiru Gnana Sambandhar
Saint Arunagirinathar sung praising the glories of Lord
Subramanya in this temple.

The legend has that Lord Kubera was enthralled at the
tranquility of this place while crossing this sacred land. He started
to worship the self-manifested Linga positioned beneath the Ilandhai tree
located here. Lord Shiva was pleased at the devotion of Lord
Kubera and appeared before him. Lord
Kubera requested Lord to remain on this sacred land forever.
This temple remains open from 5.00AM to 1.00PM in the morning
and 4.00PM to 8.00PM in the evenings.
