of Lord Vishnu located in Alappuzha, Kerala.

In this temple the idols of Lord Vishnu and Lord
Gopalakrishna were consecrated by Sage Brighu.

Significance – This temple was built by Nakula
one of the Pancha Pandavas from the Great Epic Mahabharath

Narada
Sage Markandeya underwent severe penance and
pleased Lord Vishnu. With the firm
devotion Sage Markandeya entered into the body of Lord, he could visualize the
fundamental nature of creation and the entire Universe in Lord Vishnu.

The legend has that Maharishi Narada was cursed
by Lord Brahma. He arrived on this
sacred land and underwent severe austerities praying to Lord Vishnu. Lord was pleased at the devotion of
Maharishi Narada and appeared before him.
Subsequently Lord narrated the sacred scripture Narada Puranam to
Maharishi Narada.
This temple remains open from 5.00AM to 11.00AM
in the morning and 5.00PM to 8.00PM in the mornings.
