Jai Sriman Narayana !!
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, you have accepted the association with Sugriva that
was brought before you by Hanuman. You
have proved your immense powers by flinging the corpse of demon Dhundhubi with
your toe and broken seven salavruksha with a single arrow, in this way you have
displayed your valor before Sugriva.
Vali who has matchless courage was the opponent of Sugriva, you have
killed Vali using the same tactic applied before. You have spent the whole rainy season in the
hermitage of Sage Mathanga, tormented by the pangs of separation from Sita.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Lakshmana gave a warning to Sugriva, instantly he approached
you with huge army of monkeys and executed them in search of Sita in all
directions. You were extremely happy
about it and offered the ring imprinted the name of you to Hanuman as a message
for Sita. The army of monkeys enthusiastically
took off to complete their mission to search Sita.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Sampathi narrated the whereabouts of Sita, surprisingly
he had regained fresh wings and flew away.
Hanuman crossed the vast ocean and reached the city of Lanka. Hanuman met sita in Lanka and handed her with
the Anguleeyam/ring imprinted the name of Rama.
Shortly he destroyed the pleasure garden of Ravana, vanquished
Ashakumara in a fierce battle. Soon, he
was tied up with the Brahmasthra and taken to the assembly of Ravana. Eventually the city of Lanka of burned by Hanuman,
hurried back to you and handed the Moulirathnam/Choodamani/piece of jewel used
to decorate the hair of Sita to you.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have arrived at the seashore with huge army of
monkeys and great warriors like Sugriva, Angada etc..Vibhishana, younger
brother of Ravana sought refuge in you and disclosed the strength of the army
of your opponent Ravana. Your requests
to the King of Ocean were overlooked; in a fury you have attacked the ocean
with Agneyasthram, instantly the King of Ocean parted his ways for you.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, A huge
bridge was constructed across the vast ocean with the mountains and rocks brought by the troop of monkeys. After crossing the vast ocean, the monkey
warriors attacked the demons with their claws, trees and rocks as their weapon. Lakshmana brilliantly displayed his valor,
soon Indrajith, son of Ravana tied your entire troop with the Nagasthra. Garuda, your celestial vehicle immediately
released the troops from the clutches of Nagasthra by fanning with its wings.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Ravana aimed
a fierce weapon ‘Shakthi’ at Lakshman that made him losing his life. Instantly, Hanuman brought the mountain of
unique herbs which brought back Lakshman into life. Lakshman killed Indrajith who is a great
warrior with illusionary powers. Oh! Supreme
Lord, you were extremely annoyed by the illusionary acts of Ravana was enthused
by the encouraging words of Vibhishana.
Kumbhakarna entered the battlefield, which made the entire Earth to
tremble and devoured the army of monkeys, eventually he was killed by you.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, You have accepted the chariot and armor offered by
Lord Indra and severed the heads of Ravana with Brahmasthra. Shortly, Sita was recovered by you was
purified by fire. The deities were
revived all those monkey warriors brutally killed in the battle. Soon you have preceded to Ayodhya with
Vibheeshana, newly crowned King of Lanka, all those Monkey warriors, Lakshman
and Sita in a Puspakavimanam/Flower
chariot.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Eventually the crowning ceremony took place with
the sacred water and you have successfully ruled the Kingdom of Ayodhya for
more than ten thousand years. Oh! Rama, you
have abandoned Maidhili although she was fully pregnant, after listening to the
sheer criticism about her. Lavanasura
was killed by Shathrugna, you have vanquished the Shudra ascetic. Sita continued to live in the hermitage of
Valmiki, in due course of time she gave birth to two stunning male children of
you.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, In the Yagna
arena your sons were beautifully sang the composition of Valmiki at his order. You were keen to take back Sita with you after
listening to it, but she was vanished with her Mother Earth. Oh! Supreme Lord, at the request of Kala Yama
to you to return to your abode, created a reason to abandon Lakshman and
submerged in the river Sarayu with all your associates. Consequently, you have returned to your
eternal Abode Vaikundha.
Oh!
Supreme Lord Guruvayurappa, Oh! Chakrapaney,
You have personified as human to impart the knowledge that the extreme
pain of separation causes due to the attachment and worldly bondage. Also the extreme addiction to Dharma becomes
the reason for the abandonment of innocents.
Oh! Supreme Lord, You are the embodiment of Sathva, how did you express
the weakness of mind?. Oh! Pavanapurapathey, I earnestly pray to
eradicate all our sufferings from the illnesses.
