|| Sri Krishna Sthuthi || Srimad Bhagavatha Puranam – Ashtama Sarga:

 

My salutation to Supreme Lord who is omnipresent, invisible and has divine persona, He is imperishable and He is unrecognizable for the unwise due to illusion; he plays his part like a skillful actor.  You are apparent to great Rishis and Sages who has the knowledge of super soul through the path of Bakthiyoga.  My salutation to Lord Govinda! My salutation to Lord Sri Krishna, son of Vasudeva and Devaki, and son of Nandagopa as well, my salutation to Lord Pankajanabha, who has lotus flower on his navel.  My salutation to Lord Pankajamalin, who is decorated with the garlands of lotus flowers, my salutation to Lord Pankajanethra, who has long beautiful eyes like lotus petals, my salutation to Lord Pankajangra who has supple lotus feet that has the resemblance of lotus flower.  You are Lord Rishikesha, who has perfect control over senses; you are the supreme Lord who released Devaki from grief and sorrows when she was imprisoned by resentful Kamsa. Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, you have protected my children from constant troubles and peril.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, You have protected us from poison and fire, you have saved us from depraved and wicked, you have saved us from the dangers of the forest life and protected us from the powerful arrows of great warriors in the war field and the arrow of Ashwathama, son of Drona.  Oh! Preceptor of the Universe, let the disaster repeat again and again, so that we can have the glimpses of you which eradicates the entire peril and the cycles of birth and death.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, you are approachable to people who have nothing of their own, you remain aloof to arrogant and unwise, they will not get an opportunity to utter your holy names in their life.  My salutation to Lord Krishna, who is wealth to a pauper, you are beyond the three Gunas, you are the embodiment of happiness, peace and salvation.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, you are the essence of Time/Kala, you have neither beginning nor end, and you are all-pervading.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, it is impossible to understand you, during the period of your incarnation you were neither close to anyone nor detached, which often confuses the people around you.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, it is your pastime act to incarnate among the living creatures, sages and human beings.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, you have troubled your foster mother by breaking the pot of curd and buttermilk, she tied rope around you to deal with your naughtiness, which made you helpless with full of fear, face hung down with tears rolling down in utter confusion, I wonder how can you be afraid of things, when there is no one to scare you or worries you.  The sacred verses eulogize you that you have no birth, but you were born in the clan of Yadhu just like the sandalwood in the Malaya Mountain to elevate its glories.  You were born to Vasudeva and Devaki as an answer to their prayer though you have no birth; in that way annihilate the enemies of deities.  Oh ! Supreme Lord Krishna, you have appeared like a boat in the vast ocean to curtail the burden of the mother Earth, as an answer to the prayers of Lord Brahma.  Oh ! Supreme Lord Krishna, you have descended down to Earth to perform the divine acts and deal with the miseries of people due to ignorance, desire and selfishness.  Whoever venerates you, recite or listens to your glories would envision your lotus feet which is capable to provide liberation from the cycles of birth and death.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, we have made masses of enemies and inflicted lot of wretchedness because of the battle, you were always been there with us, now you are leaving us with no protection of your lotus feet.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, absence of your glorious name and presence among Yadhus and Pandus would be like body without soul.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna/Gadhadhara, the earth will not shine in the absence of your lotus feet or its divine symbols.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, the land will flourish with rich natural resources like mountains and hills, crops, forest etc…only at your divine fleeting look.  Oh! Lord of the Universe, Lord Vishwesha ! Lord Vishwathma, the soul of the Universe! Lord Vishwamoorthi, supreme Lord with various personifications, liberate me from the bondage of Pandu and Vrushni clan as well.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna, let my mind don’t yearn for anything other than you, like the holy river Ganga streaming towards the ocean.  Oh! Supreme Lord Krishna ! Oh!  Close associate of Arjuna, Oh! Supreme amongst the clan of Vrushni ! My salutation to you, you are the blaze which annihilates the evildoers on the Earth and my salutation to Lord Govinda! Preceptor of the Universe! Who has taken birth to remove the distress of cows, Brahmins and deities.
