Sri Ekambareshwarar temple is one
of the Abhimana Kshetram of Lord Shiva located in Sowcarpet, Mint St (Park
town), Chennai. This is one of the
oldest temples of Lord Shiva existing for more than 1000 years. In this temple Lord Ekambareshwara worshipped
in the form of a self-manifested Linga.
It is believed that the worship of Sri Ekambareshwarar Temple at
Sowcarpet would bring pieties equivalent to the visit to one of the Pancha
Bhootha Kshetram of Lord Ekambareshwara which represents the element Earth at
Kanchipuram.

6.00 AM to 12.00 PM in the morning and 4.00 PM to 8.00 PM in the evenings.
