Jai Sriman Narayana !!
Poonthanam describes the grandeur
of Bharatha Varsha/Karma Kshetra/Karma Bhoomi and the significance of Kali era,
“It’s one of glorious Gandam out of the nine which was eulogized by Rishis and
Sages. Bhartha Varsha is the center source
of Karma even for the souls resides in Sathya Loka and wave off the Karma would
be possible only on this sacred land.
Bharatha Varsha is the only sacred land on Earth to wave off all Karmas. Kali
era is one of the promising eras to attain salvation effortlessly out of these
4 Yugas such as Kritha Yuga, Thretha Yuga, Dwapara Yuga and Kaliyuga. Chanting the holy names of Lord would provide
all the devoutness in this Kali era. The
deities, Rishis, Sages, Yakshas, Kinnaras, Gandharvas, Nagas, who are residing in thirteen
Lokas, six Dvipas, eight Gandas, and three Yugas are praising the propitious
Kali era and the Bharatha Varsha as well, they all are craving to be born on
Earth/Bharatha and highly praising the people and prostrates before those who
resides in Bharatha Varsha in this era of Kali. My salutations to Lord Krishna ! Mukunda !
Janardana ! Govinda ! Narayana ! Hari ! Achyutha ! Anantha ! Madhava !
Sachidananda ! ‘
Poonthanam continues ‘we are blessed to be
born as humans in Bharatha Varsha in Kaliyuga to prove ourselves
righteous. It’s disgraceful to note lack
of faith in chanting the names of Lord and disbelief in sacred scriptures; we
are spending our life in vain without proper wisdom and knowledge. After several repeated births such as worms in
nasty water and sand, tree, birds, animals, we have attained this present life
due to the righteous deeds. Thus, we
have taken several births and after a long struggle we took the form of fetus
in the womb of our mother, spends ten months in her womb, ten to twelve years
as a child, later years we get proud of ourselves without knowing the passing
of time and without the knowledge of our life span. Our physique is fragile like water bubbles
though it has specific shapes and structures, without knowing the truth that due
to hard work it rip open. It is pathetic
to note that there is no time to remember the names of Lord during these petite
hours. My salutations to Lord Krishna ! Mukunda ! Janardana ! Govinda !
Narayana ! Hari ! Achyutha ! Anantha ! Madhava ! Sachidananda ! ‘
Poonthanam ironically narrates
the human life on Earth/ Samsara Varnana, ‘some people fight for their status
with no shame, some people spend their life in utter ignorance with excessive
ego & pride, some people shamelessly walk around women, some people act as
sincere servant, some people wander at the time of sunset and earn their
livelihood by serving in temples, some people does not provide food for their parents
or wife, some of the married men do not even think of their wife in dreams. If someone point out their unruly behavior
would be treated as enemy. The honorable
persons are treated as carelessly with no respect. The conceited people speak highly about their
virtues that the world is sustaining with their uprightness. My salutations to
Lord Krishna ! Mukunda ! Janardana ! Govinda ! Narayana ! Hari ! Achyutha !
Anantha ! Madhava ! Sachidananda ! ‘
Poonthanam sarcastically speaks
about the insatiable nature of human in acquiring wealth ‘some people with
their petite knowledge of Brahmanical rite treat themselves as Lord Brahma,
some people performs Agnihotras/fire sacrifices with the selfish motive of
material wellbeing, some people engage themselves in earning abundance of
wealth in various methods like selling gold & gems, trading elephants &
horse, eventually getting into nasty habits with covetousness to earn excess wealth,
ultimately depart from life Shiva Shiva.
Some people never get satisfied with
their means; there will be no limit for their greed for the accumulation of
wealth or satiate their hunger for wealth.
My salutations to Lord Krishna ! Mukunda ! Janardana ! Govinda !
Narayana ! Hari ! Achyutha ! Anantha ! Madhava ! Sachidananda ! ‘
