of Arisillaru in (Eravancherry) Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu.

The
legend has that Goddess Sri Parvati appeared as the epitome of exquisiteness before Lord
Shiva with the intention of enthrall him at her unexplainable loveliness on
this sacred land.
Worship
of Lord Satguneswarar with his consort Goddess Sri Sarvanga Sundari provides
Salvation. Karuvilikottidai denotes
liberation from the cycles of Birth and Death, it is believed that visit to
this sacred temple is possible only at the will of Lord Satguneswarar.
This
temple remains open from 6.00 AM to 12.30 PM in the morning and 4.30 PM to
8.00PM in the evenings.
