Thiru Parthanpalli is one of the 108 Divya
Desams of Lord Vishnu located in Thirunangur at a distance of 10kms from
Shirkazhi, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu.

The legend has that Lord Shiva worshipped Lord
Vishnu in this sacred land and performed Ekadasha Rudra Ashwamedha Yagam to get
rid of Brahmahathi sin. The most pleased
Lord Vishnu with Goddess Sri Devi, Boodevi and Niladevi appeared before Lord
Shiva. Further, Lord Vishnu decided to reside permanently
on this sacred land at the request of Lord Shiva. There
are 11 holy abodes of Lord Vishnu located in Thirunangur which was taken up by
Lord Vishnu at the request of Lord Shiva and these holy Abodes were known as
Thirunangur Divya Desams.
This temple remains open from 8.00AM to 11.30 AM
in the morning and 5.00PM to 7.00PM in the evenings.
